The health and safety of our customers, employees and guests is our most important objective. We have instituted several changes this year to support that objective. Our intent is to meet or exceed all CDC guidelines across all of our operations. We have two options for payments at Dave's Pumpkins this year, both involve no contact between customers or employees.
1) On-line Store: When you arrive at Dave's, your will find a QR code, which is a small square image with lots of little dots on it. Point your phone's camera at the QR code, and a link to our on-line store will appear on your phone. Click on the link. Select your items and quantities, and then when your cart is complete, checkout and pay on-line just like you were ordering from Amazon. Then fill up your car and go--no need to show anything to anyone. Signs with more detailed instructions are in place at the stand.
2) Cash or Check: Just as we have done for over 45 years, you can always just pay with cash or check by dropping your money in our self-service honor box. Unlike prior years, employees will NOT be on hand to provide change or to collect payments, so please bring correct change if you will not be paying on line.
All customers, employees and guests must wear coverings at all times at Dave's Pumpkins. Our policy requires fabric masks which completely cover the nose and mouth, fit snugly against the side of your face, and don't have gaps. We do not allow the use of gaiters or face shields in place of a fabric mask. Evaluation of gaiters and face shields is on-going but effectiveness is unknown at this time. Although we are a 100% outdoor market, and we will be enforcing social distancing of 6 feet, we are going above and beyond guidelines in requiring proper wearing of appropriate face covering for everyone 2 years and older. We appreciate your cooperation and your patience as we enforce this important safety measure. Prominent signage is in place to remind people to comply with this requirement.
We will be enforcing 6 feet of social distancing for all customers who did not arrive as a group in a single vehicle. This includes all shopping and parking areas, and all activities. All activities (broom corn maze, pumpkin bowling, hay rides, pedal tractors) have been modified to facilitate social distancing, so please be prepared for some changes from prior years when you arrive. Details on these changes can be found on the activities page of our website. Prominent signage is in place to remind people to comply with this requirement.
As we have done for many years, we have an on site at both locations, portable restroom and hand washing stations, including soap, water, and hand sanitizer, available for use by everyone. Additional hand sanitizing stations are also now in place throughout various locations at the stand. Everyone is encouraged to wash and sanitize hands frequently.
For everyone's safety, pets are no longer permitted at Dave's Pumpkins.
Informal photos by active customers is always encouraged and requires no appointment. Formal photo sessions must be scheduled and reserved in advance by calling 847-893-0002 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org . Formal photography sessions require an appointment and a fee paid in advance, with the fee structure depending on many factors including day of the week, time of day, length of session, number of subjects, and capacity availability. Formal photo session fees start at $30 for a half hour during non-peak times. This new policy for photo sessions is driven entirely as a result of COVID-19 safety precautions and what we have been observing this year as potential areas of social distancing and capacity challenges during photo shoots. All fees collected for formal photo shoots will be donated to local charities.
